The Cherries thought they had scored a late winner; however it was disallowed due to a foul on the Leeds keeper, which the Bournemouth players complaining to the referee that it was harsh.

However, it was Leeds who took the lead for the first time in the game. Sonny Perkins who grabbed his second of the game in the 98th minute. He lifted it over Plain into the top left corner, late heartbreak for the Cherries.
